Our Approach

We are not consultants, although our people include experienced strategic and operational consultants.  We don’t identify areas of your business to prepare a report for you to read and then leave you to it.  We do more than that. 

We are not corporate financiers, although our people have advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions and fundraisings.  We won’t identify a strategic transaction for you and execute it and then move on to look for another transaction elsewhere.  We do more than that.

We are not venture capitalists, although our people have made venture capital and private equity investments in several entertainment, media and technology businesses and we have access to funds for investment in companies that meet our strict criteria for investment.  We won’t be looking for an exit before we’ve even begun our relationship with you. 

Our approach is different.  We build enduring relationships with the people we work with, and become partners rather than mere advisers, transaction executioners or providers of finance.   Every relationship is different; we may advise on strategic options for one company and handle the acquisition of a business for another.  We may simply take a position on your board to provide senior level advice on how to prepare the business for sale or investment.  We can look at your business through the eyes of investors and help you prepare accordingly.  If we advise on strategy for change we will undertake a role in making that change happen and make sure our recommendations get results.  If we handle the acquisition of a business we will assist with integration of the business into your existing business.  If we bring ideas to you on how to leverage your assets to build value we will take a leading role in making our ideas bear fruit.  If we prepare a 5-year business plan for you we will work with you over that time period to help you achieve it, whether that leads to a planned fundraising, trade sale or flotation or some other value realisation event.

Crucially however, everything we do is part of an enduring relationship we are seeking to build with you as a partner in the business.
